Overseas Drone Program

Legal scholar testified on the constitutional issues involved in the targeted killing of American citizens overseas, such as by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), commonly known as a drone. They discussed how best to take the due process of law into account in a battlefield situation where the enemy may be a U.S. citizen and made recommendations for better oversight of the program either by Congress or the Justice Department.
